TOUR INFORMATION :

Day 1: Evening Santubong Wildlife Cruise
This award winning tour takes you around the rivers of the Santubong Peninsular. Offering you the chance of seeing some of Sarawak's fascinating wildlife. The cruise starts from the Boat Club. From there your boat cruises to the mouth of the Santubong River, where Irrawaddy dolphins are often spotted. Your boat then roams the mangrove-lined rivers looking for wildlife. As the light starts to fade, we go in search of the rare proboscis monkey. Small groups are often seen in the treetops at the water edge, settling down for the night.

As dusk arrives we search for fireflies and crocodiles. Crocodiles are often seen on the mud banks and brightly shining crocodile eyes can be spotted when a torchlight is passed over the river. After searching for crocodiles your boat proceeds further up river where fireflies gather at night. Watch the fireflies move around the branches of the mangroves, momentarily lighting up the night sky.

Day 2: Semenggoh Nature Reserve + Mongkos Bidayuh Longhouse
Semenggoh is known as the best place in Sarawak to view semi-wild orangutans who have been rescued from captivity and trained to survive in the surrounding forest reserve. The rehabilitated animals roam freely in the rainforest and often return to the center at most heart-warming sights in Borneo - an orangutan mother with a young baby.

After the feeding session, proceed on a 2-hour drive for a day visit to Mongkos Longhouse. Upon reaching Serian, the nearest town there, we visit its farmer's market. We continue our journey and upon arrival. We proceed with a tour of the longhouse. Learn about the old history of the village. Walk around and enjoy its surroundings and daily routine. Afterward, enjoy a locally prepared lunch at the village's homestay cafe. After lunch, we depart for Kuching.

Arrive at hotel. Free and easy at own leisure.

Day 3: Bako National Park

This small peninsular, accessible only by boat, is home to seven distinct ecosystems, giving rise to a remarkable diversity of animals and plant life. Bako's most famous residents are the bizarre proboscis monkeys. It is also home to the silvered langurs _lef monkey), long-tailed macaque monkeys, bearded pigs, flying lemurs, monitor lizards as well as many different bird species.

Fascinating plant life includes the mangroves, a system onto itself. There are also the strangling fig-trees, carnivorous pitcher plants and symbiotic insect-plant relationships. Unique geological features mark the coastline, whilst well-marked trails lead to rugged jungle-covered hilltops and secluded beaches.
